Job Description

Positoin           : Lead data engineer 

Location          : St. Louis, MO Onsite (Must be Local)

Duration         : Long term contract

Note                : Strong experience with Spark, Python, Azure Data Factory, Alteryx/NiFi for ETL, Microsoft Graph APIs, and Microsoft 365 tools.

Overview - 
The overall objective of this engagement is to manage and execute an organizational network analysis pilot leveraging Microsoft Enterprise Viva platform as a core integration engineer of the project team.
Responsibilities: 

  • Assists senior resources in the assessment, analysis and implementation Microsoft Graph Data Connect
  • Acts as a technical lead for the project team and coordinate with different stakeholders including platform engineering, operations, data science & Microsoft technical support to help implement the solution
  • Supports holistic platform security posture which includes:
    • identifying risks
    • escalating potential concerns on a timely basis
    • implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions
  • Follows policies, standards, guidelines, and design patterns, researching industry best practices across multiple technologies and business domains
  • Works closely with the project team to understand requirements and milestones
  • Implements proper quality checks and monitors to ensure reliable functioning of the solution
  • Creates well-defined monitoring tools, systems, and processes that effectively and efficiently manage the interconnected infrastructure

Experiences: 

  • Experience in collaborating with external teams and supporting initiatives at an enterprise level
  • Exposure to Azure, M365, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft Graph Data Connect
  • Hands on experience using Azure - Compute, Storage (blob), configuration including Active
  • Directory Approval Groups, Application registrations, Data Factory, building automation pipelines, user provisioning, reporting, monitoring & alerts etc.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph & Microsoft Graph Data connect
  • Good understanding of optimizing cost with efficient resource usage
  • Foundational knowledge of data lake & data science techniques is a plus
  • Creative and nimble with ability to overcome obstacles to solve hard problems
  • Flexible and responsive, with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority
  • Openness to feedback and strong self-awareness
