Avila University Arizona is seeking dedicated and qualified Adjunct Instructors to join our faculty in Goodyear, Arizona. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will teach online and hybrid graduate courses. The ideal candidate possesses strong industry experience and technical proficiency in selected field and is passionate about mentoring adult learners in accelerated graduate programs.

Instruction & Delivery

Qualifications:
  • Required: Doctorate in the related field. A master's degree with significant (10+ years) professional industry experience in the subject area will be considered in lieu of a doctorate.
  • Required: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience applying subject concepts in a business or research setting.
  • Preferred: Prior teaching, training, or adjunct faculty experience in related subjects.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex management concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to facilitate virtual team simulations and guide students through conflict resolution and negotiation scenarios.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with working on real-world business datasets and solving industry-specific problems.

Terms of Employment:
FLSA Status: Exempt
Communication: Maintains communication with various Faculty, staff, and external constituents in the performance of role. Must be professional in all communications as a representative of the senior administrative team. Utilizes existing technology effectively in the performance of duties.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Language Skills: This position requires the ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
