Job description

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Freeport, Texas area:
SAP Data Entry Clerk

Our office is looking for a strongly skilled data entry specialist to perform a variety of tasks. In this role, you are responsible for scanning, and inputting high volumes of important information into our database. Our ideal candidate must have a high school diploma and excellent typing skills. You must be familiar with common business software’s such as SAP, vendor management and invoicing programs and Microsoft Office/Outlook. We deal with a large volume of data, so you must be able to work on a strict deadline while maintaining organization standards.

Work Schedule
12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off days only, with opportunities for overtime. Candidates must be flexible to align with changes to work schedule as needed. (holidays if shift lands on them)

Data Entry Clerk Job Responsibilities:

  • Sort and organize documents to ensure accuracy for both inbound and outbound.
  • Transferring high volume of data from paper formats into computer files or database systems while establishing entry priorities.
  • Process and resolve deficiencies by using standard procedures for resolution.
  • Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures.
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Verifies entered data by comparing it to source documents and purging files to eliminate duplications.
  • Research incomplete documents for month end close in accordance with accounting figures.
  • Secures information by completing data base backups and scans.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential and accurate.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Data Entry Clerk Qualifications / Skills:

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, combustible dust, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Work area can be dusty and may at times require the use of a respirator. Safety toed footwear, hard hat, and a reflective vest or shirt is required.
