Job Summary
AGA is seeking a Data Analyst I to support the business by extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to identify trends and inform decision-making. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights through reports and dashboards. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for data to contribute to AGA's success.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Data Extraction & Cleaning: Gather data from various internal and external sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity through cleaning, validation, and transformation.
  • Reporting & Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting & Analysis: Respond to ad-hoc data requests from business stakeholders, providing timely and accurate reports based on user requests.
  • Documentation: Document data sources, methodologies, and analytical processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
  • Collaboration with Business Stakeholders: Partner with business users to understand their data needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Support Financial Forecasting: Assist in the development and refinement of financial forecasting models by providing data analysis and insights.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual reporting processes to improve operational efficiency.

Primary Skills & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in data analysis or related role.
  • Programming Proficiency: Working knowledge of at least one programming language for data analysis (Python, R, or similar tool).
  • Database Skills: Knowledge of database & data warehouse structure, experience using SQL for data extraction and manipulation a plus.
  • Data Visualization: Strong skills in Microsoft Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.
  • Analytical Skills: Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
