Job Title: Senior Data Analyst (SQL, Power BI, Looker)
Location: 100% Remote, Canada
Experience: 5+ Years
Rate: 62 to 65 CAD PH

Role Summary

NearSource is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to drive data-informed decision-making across large-scale platform initiatives. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, deliver actionable insights, and support strategic business outcomes for a Fortune 500 product company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to identify, define, and solve business problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights that influence product and business strategy.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and OKRs, ensuring visibility into performance across platform initiatives.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver analytical solutions.
  • Design and deliver impactful dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Proactively identify trends and opportunities related to platform performance, user engagement, and business impact.
  • Develop advanced data models and apply statistical techniques to forecast trends and support decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity through best practices in data validation, cleaning, and transformation.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies to maintain high-quality analytical outputs.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Looker.
  • Experience with data warehouse ELT tools, including Snowflake, Airflow, or dbt.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
