Overview

As engineers, architects, construction/program managers, environmental professionals and beyond, we play a significant role in shaping our communities through the services we provide. We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives.

NV5 is currently seeking an experience program manager to join our Mission Critical team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, goal-oriented with the technical acumen of a seasoned engineer. They will be well versed in commissioning, facility engineering, construction, and operations. Duties and responsibilities related to this position are listed below.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for project planning and program level management handling scope, schedules and budgets to complete work on time and profitably; plays major role in conceptualizing design and overseeing all aspects of the project, including reviewing work of interdisciplinary team to secure and successfully manage projects through demonstrated technical and managerial skills. Self-perform and train individuals in complex tasks, or on new systems or services.
  • Apply organizational and management expertise to unique and complex projects and can effectively diagnose problems, prepare courses of action, and implement the solution to provide an appropriate resolution to the problem.
  • Prepare accurate monthly billings and revenue recognition through timely approval of invoices and project plan updates.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and budget reports for leadership.
  • Responsible for ensuring that work and contract terms have been complied with, including maintenance of project files, attendance at meetings, holding of periodic team meetings, and maintaining good relationships with the client.
  • Manages accounts receivable at a project and program level.
  • Works independently with minimal direction or supervision through demonstrated success with similar program responsibilities.
  • Prepares and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts by developing project approach, scope of services and budgets based on similar project experience and historical budgeting information and by speaking at client interviews regarding project management issues. This also includes negotiating fees to perform projects of a certain scope, reviewing and approving written proposal documents, and obtaining authorized signatures on contracts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
  • Graduate from an engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation for Engineering and Technology (A.E.T.) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' progressive experience in design and commissioning, managing projects independently, with a thorough understanding of the principles of the building systems operation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Must have strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant Software Experience (MS Office Suite, CxAlloy, Procore, AutoCAD/REVIT)
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% nationally.

  • Commissioning Certification
  • Experience with Deltek Vision/VantagePoint project management software.
  • Experience with people management having direct supervisor responsibilities.

The pay range for this position is $160,000- $185,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate.
