Position Summary
Position summary: The research technician will perform general technical and administrative duties with a focus on human movement biomechanics, including but not limited to:
Study coordination: Communicate with research collaborators and team members and study subjects. This will include recruiting and scheduling subjects for data collections, following up during intervention periods, and communicating details on planned data collections.
Regulatory compliance: Coordinate and maintain human subjects compliance approvals in support of the principal investigator. Ensure all team members have completed required training.
Data collection: Schedule, set-up, coordinate research personnel and study subjects for data collections required to implement funded research studies.
Data processing: Correctly back-up, store, and oversee processing of study data. Supervise students assigned to complete data processing and assist with preparation of results for publication and grant submission. Be able to train students on data processing.
Equipment maintenance and supply management: Know how to operate and maintain required equipment as well as needed supplies. Be able to train students and other members of the research team on operating equipment.
