Job description

SRC is looking to add Benefits Coordinator to our team in Atlanta, GA.  The Benefits Coordinator provides versatile administrative and coordination support across multiple Benefits and HR Operations functions. This role serves as an entry point to a career in Benefits and /or HR Operations (HR Ops), with exposure to various functional areas such as on boarding, benefits, compensation, reporting and HRIS.
The responsibilities of this role will vary based on team needs and may change over time. This role will offer the individual broad experience and development opportunities across all of the Benefits and HR Ops functions. The Benefits/HR Coordinator is not expected to be an expert in every area but will contribute to a range of Benefits and HR Ops projects and daily processes depending on departmental and business priorities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to maintain accurate employee benefits records, including enrollment data processing and maintenance, document preparation, HRIS data entry, and employee file maintenance
  • Reviewing and validating employee reimbursement requests
  • Providing general administrative support to other members of the Benefits, Compensation and HR Resources team as needed
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance in all transactional processes and record keeping
  • Responding accurately to routine inquiries from employees and HR Team with benefit questions (re: life, dental, health, basic leave of Absence), policies/procedures and other HR Ops related questions via Service Now, escalating more complex matters as appropriate
  • Processing HR/Benefits transactions, including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, benefit enrollments, beneficiary updates/changes, address changes, qualified life events as well as other general Benefits and HR processing in HRIS system as needed
  • Uploading employee information into various vendor databases and updates as necessary
  • Verifying and processing monthly general HR invoices as needed
  • Reviewing, auditing and processing employee tuition reimbursement requests
  • Providing support as needed to the Leave Analyst including supporting the tracking and documentation of employee leaves, including FMLA and Worker Compensation claims, in coordination with HR team members
  • Assisting with internal audits and compliance checks ensuring compliance with governmental
    and company policies and regulations as needed
  • Creating and distributing HR/Benefits related reporting and ad hoc reports as needed
  • Processing and completing specific legally mandated forms, including National Medical Support Notices and CMS-L564
  • Leading special projects as needed, such as flu shot clinic, new hire gift program, and others as needed
  • Providing administrative support to HR leadership and team members on various team-wide initiatives

  • This job requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and one or two years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a benefits or HR ops role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive employee and candidate data
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are organizational skills including; attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping
  • In relation to other jobs in the same function, this role requires a basic level of proficiency to work on assignments of intermediate difficulty and a thorough knowledge of superior’s area of responsibility as well as a general knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines while supporting HR projects
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, multi-task and resolve employee issues as well as, work with internal and external customers to find appropriate solutions as needed
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively explain and respond to employee inquiries and requests during on boarding as well as liaise with HR, Accounting and Payroll departments as needed
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration software for accurate record keeping and reporting, as well as, process, upload and monitor on boarding and benefits data as needed
