Job description

Our client, a leading global energy company is seeking a Senior Director, Ethics & Compliance to help lead its worldwide compliance program. This individual will advise senior leadership on regulatory, risk, and ethics matters across global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale a global compliance program (policies, governance, controls)
  • Conduct risk assessments (anti-corruption, trade, data privacy, emerging tech)
  • Oversee third-party risk, due diligence, and anti-bribery programs
  • Manage investigations, hotline matters, and remediation
  • Deliver training and promote a culture of integrity
  • Advise on trade compliance, data privacy, investigations and AI governance
  • Build reporting, metrics, and dashboards for leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally to embed compliance into operations

Qualifications

  • J.D. required
  • 15+ years of experience, including prior relevant law firm experience (required)
  • Proven leadership in global ethics & compliance
  • Deep expertise in anti-corruption, trade compliance, privacy and third-party risk
  • Experience in complex, multinational or technology-driven environments
  • Experience in rapidly growing organizations a strong plus
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills
