The Data Platform Engineer for Enterprise Data at Chipotle will be an active participant and driver in ensuring our platform and infrastructure continues to mature and evolve to support current and future data initiatives, security and reliability. Responsibilities include building out our Terraform solutions and processes to enable digital architecture and infrastructure as a service. This role will also be responsible for maintaining, designing and implementing infrastructure within our cloud and Snowflake environments. Your experience and thought leadership will be able to make a direct impact as we modernize the way we deploy, maintain and scale our platforms.

LOCATION

This position will be based in our Columbus, OH office 4 days per week (with work from home on Friday). Remote work is not available for this role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure as code through Terraform.

  • Core infrastructure includes Azure (Data Lake, Storage Accounts, Cloud Networking, Function Apps, App Registrations), Databricks and Snowflake.

  • Implement automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps to streamline infrastructure and code deployments for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

  • Collaborate with lead data engineers, data architects, and security teams to build a robust and secure data ecosystem.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize cloud networking, storage, and performance issues through monitoring resources such as Application Insights, Analytics Workspaces, and Datadog.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Have a B.A./B.S. and 3-5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent in education and experience.

  • (2-3 years) Experience with Terraform for managing both Azure infrastructure and enterprise data platform objects (DBT, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).

  • (2-3 years) Strong understanding of Azure services (Data Lake, Storage Accounts, Networking, Security).

  • (2-3 years) Experience with Azure DevOps for building CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure and code deployments.

  • High Level understanding of cloud networking and best practices in data security.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, enterprise environment is a plus.

  • Provide technical inputs and leadership into the maturation of Chipotle’s data management platforms.

  • Ability to handle ambiguity to improve our processes, patterns and standards.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $87,000.00–$120,000.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
