Position Description

The Associate will join our Boston office as a member of the Data Operations team. This individual will be a key part of this growing team responsible for critical client and investment manager data. This is a global team with team members located in Boston and London. Key responsibilities including supporting daily transaction processing and data operations for alternative investment valuations across Partners Capital global fund book — capital calls, distributions, capital account statements, and NAV data — while contributing to automation projects that improve quality and efficiency across our investment data sets.

The Associate will play a significant role in the firm’s effort to enhance our core data function. The Associate is expected to gain exposure to and have a full understanding of our investment process and to develop an understanding of all parts of the business. Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships is critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile capital calls, distributions, and capital account/valuation statements against fund documents and internal systems.
  • Ingest and validate GP-reported data in Canoe Intelligence and/or iLevel; flag exceptions and data quality issues
  • Maintain accurate transaction records across ABOR/IBOR platforms
  • Support month-end/quarter-end valuation close and reporting deadlines
  • Partner with Research Operations and Client Operations to resolve data discrepancies
  • Contribute to workflow automation initiatives — documenting current-state processes, testing new tools, and identifying manual steps for elimination
  • Maintain SOPs and process documentation for transaction and data workflows

Qualifications

  • Intellectually curious and energized by the prospect of solving business-wide operational challenges
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 1–3 years experience; internship or coursework in alternative investments a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Canoe Intelligence and/or iLevel strongly preferred
  • Experience with SimCorp Dimension preferred
  • Strong Excel skills; SQL or scripting (Python) a plus, AI tooling skills
  • High attention to detail, comfort with high transaction volume and deadlines
  • Interest and ability to work within a global team and outsourcing providers

Key responsibilities may be assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.

Massachusetts requires Partners Capital to include a reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role. This base salary range is specific to individuals applying to work in our Massachusetts office and takes into account a number of factors. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $65,000 - $80,000. The base salary offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

The base salary is one element of our competitive compensation package. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
