Are you a tech-savvy problem solver looking to get your hands dirty (figuratively) in the green industry? Ryan Lawn and Tree is seeking a motivated IT Intern to join our team.


In this role, you won't just be sitting in a back room; you'll be the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring our field crews and office staff have the digital tools they need to keep our clients' properties beautiful. You'll gain hands-on experience in technical support, hardware lifecycle management, and CRM data integrity.


Key Responsibilities


1. Help Desk & Salesforce Support

  • Request Management: Act as the primary administrator for the IT Help Desk within Salesforce, assisting in the management and resolution of internal requests.
  • Service Resolution: Troubleshoot technical issues for staff and field crews, ensuring all tickets are documented and closed out effectively.
  • Customer Experience: Provide regular updates and maintenance to the Customer Portal to ensure clients have real-time visibility into their services.

2. Hardware Lifecycle & Inventory

  • Performance Assessment: Evaluate the operational effectiveness of aging laptops and desktops to determine if they meet current performance standards.
  • Asset Tracking: Assist with rigorous inventory tracking within our software systems to ensure all equipment is accounted for.
  • Sustainable Disposal: Identify obsolete equipment and coordinate the secure recycling of hardware and components.

3. Software & Data Integrity

  • Salesforce Projects: Assist with specialized data projects, including data cleansing, reporting, and workflow optimizations within Salesforce.
  • Field Support: Assist in configuring and supporting mobile devices used by our crews for scheduling and site reporting.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: * Exposure to Salesforce (preferred) or a strong desire to become proficient in CRM-based ticketing systems.
    • Solid understanding of hardware components and Windows/Mac operating systems.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with both office staff and field technicians.
  • Detail-Oriented: A disciplined approach to inventory management and data entry.
