Position: Annuity Operations Summer Intern
Department: Annuity Operations
Reporting to: Annuity Operations Manager
Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite
Term: Summer 2026 (35-40 hours per week)
Overview:
Are you looking for an opportunity to learn more about the world of annuities and financial services while supporting a high-performing team? Our Annuity Operations department is seeking a talented and motivated Annuity Ops Intern for the summer to help our team deliver exceptional service to our clients and advisors.
The Annuity Ops Intern will play a vital role in assisting with service requests, conducting follow-up communications with carriers, and handling important data entry and reporting tasks. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment—ideal for someone interested in pursuing a future in business, financial services, or operations.
What you’ll do:
  • Make outgoing calls and use carrier websites to obtain policy values and status updates on in-force annuity contracts
  • Follow up on service items (such as address changes, beneficiary updates, or policy information requests) by working directly with insurance carriers
  • Accurately enter data from annuity applications and service items into our tracking systems
  • Assist with compiling and distributing reports related to annuity business
  • Support the Annuity Operations team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed
  • Exhibit a positive, collaborative approach to all assignments
Experience you’ll bring:
  • College-level coursework in business, finance, communications, or related field preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently over the phone and in writing
  • A positive, proactive approach to work with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • PC proficiency and comfortable navigating multiple programs and online platforms

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Prior office, administrative, or customer service experience
  • Interest in financial services or operations
