Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Support the Operations Manager to coordinate and monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
  • Track inventory levels of manufacturing operations supplies for production; communicate shortages or delays to the Operations Manager.
  • Operations cycle counter and investigate discrepancies with Operations leadership.
  • Assist in planning and implementing operations improvements to increase efficiency to reduce waste.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, downtime, and resource utilization for Daily Management System (DMS).
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with product specifications and standards.
  • Verify and continuously update work instructions and training documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with current processes.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal departments regarding productions status and priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies throughout the plant.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

YOU HAVE:
  • Academic background in:
    • Associate degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field; or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in or with:
    • Previous inventory control, materials handling, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
    • Good communication skills both verbal and written, with customers, associates, and management personnel.
    • Computer skills, including data entry, retrieval, and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Multi-tasking, organizational, and exercising initiative skills.
    • Self-starter, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Basic blueprint reading skills.
    • Measuring tool skills (Dial indicators, Micrometer, and Caliber).
    • Reliability and attendance skills.

  • Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:
    • Ability to work with a flexible schedule depending on business needs.
    • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to pressure.
    • Ability to work effectively in a TEAM environment.
    • Ability to lift 50 plus pounds; ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, pull, push, stand and squat.
