Position Summary
The Administrative Associate II provides administrative and program support to the UGA Entrepreneurship Program, working primarily in support of the Program Coordinator III and the Director of Entrepreneurship. Based at Studio 225, the position serves to support the management of day-to-day communications, supporting a full calendar of events and programs, and assisting with the administrative operations of the academic Entrepreneurship certificate program, The Administrative Associate II reports to the Program Coordinator III of the Entrepreneurship Program.
This position assists in representing the Entrepreneurship Program and will interact with students, faculty, alumni, donors, and UGA units campus-wide.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable serving as a first point of contact for students, faculty, alumni, donors, and external partners
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines
  • Proficiency with standard office software; familiarity with, or willingness to learn, web content management, email marketing, and social media tools
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling program communications and data

Working in a standard office environment.
Requires occasional local travel as needed, including monthly travel to the Terry Executive Education Center (TEEC).

Administrative/Communication
  • Provide administrative support to the Director, Associate Directors, and Program Coordinator III
  • Manage Entrepreneurship Program e-mail account: respond to general inquiries and forward messages when appropriate
  • Assist with data management to track certificate students and student ventures
  • Manage inventory of office supplies
  • Placing order requests with Tate Print & Copy Services and with Terry Logistics
  • Assist with communication with Launch Pad Residents
  • Oversee the program's presence in social media
  • Manage routine content updates to the Program's website
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of payment forms for competition awards and travel reimbursements, coordinating with the Terry Business Office to ensure accurate processing
  • Compile the weekly program newsletter
  • Assist Program Coordinator III with promotional events for the program, campus-wide • Assist in delegating/overseeing tasks to student workers
  • Assist with program support of Society of Entrepreneurship (SoE) and SoE events

  • Assist Program Coordinator III in planning and executing program events, including:
    • Graduation Events for ENTR Certificate holders
    • Startup Showcase
    • Support the program's pitch competitions and accelerators (Next Top Entrepreneur, Next Great Consumer Brands, UGA Venture Prize, UGA Health & Wellness Pitch Competition, Build Test Accelerator, and Idea Accelerator): assist in building application portals, manage applicant communications, prepare judging materials, and coordinate day-of logistics
    • Provide administrative support for the Georgia Bulldog Angel Network (GBAN) monthly forum, including registrations, RSVPs, name tags, and materials set-up and breakdown
    • Coordinate communications and travel logistics for finalists in the two national competitions hosted each spring
    • Represent the program at campus-wide fairs and promotional events,
    • Launch Pad related events (welcome, study breaks, socials w/ SoE)
    • Fall Welcome Social and Kickoff
    • SoE information sessions
    • Students2Startups - 2- fall and spring
    • Next Top Entrepreneur Competition - spring
    • Next Great Consumer Brands Competition - spring
    • FABricate - spring
    • Athens Startup Week
    • Terry Majors Night - 2 - fall and spring

  • Carry out Program Coordinator III's routine administrative and program-related duties as needed
