Nature of Work Position Opportunity: Human Resource Administrative Operations Assistant 2 Announcement Number: ML260718 Organization: West Virginia Military Authority About the Role Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for organization. The West Virginia Military Authority (WVMA) is seeking a motivated wvOasis Processor to join our friendly, supportive Human Resources team. As a state agency, our mission is to support the vital activities of the West Virginia National Guard, and your work will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly for the personnel who serve our state.

In this position, you will be the heart of our data operations. You will spend your days managing essential HR processes through the wvOasis system, ensuring accuracy, and providing the administrative support necessary to keep our agency efficient and productive. Examples of Work What You Will Do Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and impactful: Process Management: You will handle data collection and transaction processing within the wvOasis system, including tax information, direct deposits, benefits, payouts, and position adjustments.

Records & Data Stewardship: You will maintain highly organized and secure records. Accuracy is key, as you will be responsible for keeping sensitive information current. Operational Support: You will assist our HR Manager and senior leadership with special projects, calendar coordination, and the preparation of reports, briefings, and visual materials.

Communication & Collaboration: You will act as a liaison, communicating clearly and professionally with military personnel (DOD/NGB), state agency staff, and government officials. Field Support: Occasional travel to various WVMA facilities throughout West Virginia will be required to assist with employee paperwork and training. What We Are Looking For We value candidates who are proactive, adaptable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.

To succeed in this role, you should have: Technical Proficiency: A strong command of personal computer software, particularly the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Teams, Word) and Adobe Acrobat. System Knowledge: Experience with, or the ability to quickly master, the wvOasis system and general Human Resource practices. Analytical Skills: The ability to evaluate office operations, solve logistical challenges, and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Interpersonal Skills: A professional demeanor and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of government and the military. Organizational Excellence: A talent for planning meetings, managing calendars, and developing efficient systems for records and correspondence. Minimum Qualifications TRAINING: Graduation from High school required, further education experiences preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Two years of full-time (or Four years of part-time experience) in administrative support using wvOasis processing within a West Virginia State Agency. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Position is contingent upon receipt of continued Department of Defense funding.
