GDIT Summer Internship Program - Summer 2027 Summer Health Plan Data Operations Associate Internship

How You'll Make this Internship Opportunity Your Own

We are looking for detail-oriented Health Plan Data Operations intern that will provide functional support to execute key data directory initiatives for GDIT as the Third-Party Administrator of the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience with healthcare operations and supporting initiatives that strengthen engagement with Program members, providers, partners, and internal teams.

A Day in the Life

  • Assist in supporting outreach, training, and stakeholder engagement strategies for the WTC Health Program through data verification.
  • Help update and organize provider rosters that directly impact patient access to care.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure content is accurate, consistent, and compliant with federal guidelines.
  • Support collection and organization of feedback from Provider groups.
  • Collaborate between Data Integrity, Credentialing, Contracting, and Provider Network Relations teams.

The Must-Haves

  • Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in Health Plan Administration or other related major, or other related field from a United States-based college or university.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams)
