Job description

Packaging Operations Analyst
Job Summary


The Packaging Operations Analyst is responsible for executing daily packaging system transactions, reporting, and data coordination in support of North America Packaging Engineering. This role ensures accurate processing of packaging approvals, third-party packager reporting, non-conformance tracking, and new model status updates across SAP, the packaging spec system, and Microsoft Office tools. The position supports Packaging Engineers by handling system-driven and administrative work, allowing engineering resources to remain focused on technical, cost, and validation activities.
Key Job Activities


* Execute daily packaging approval and error resolution activities within SAP and the packaging spec system, including supplier rejections and limited supplier follow-up


* Generate and distribute weekly Third-Party Packager (3PP) planning, material flow, and forecast reports, including VOR priority parts and four-month outlooks


* Maintain and publish monthly 3PP throughput performance reports


* Administer Non-Conformance Ticket (NCT) tracking, including assignment to Packaging Engineers, data entry in Microsoft Access, and daily and monthly reporting


* Provide SAP transactional and analytical support, including supplier payment analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and spot buy and accrual tracking


* Support new model packaging status reporting, including approval tracking, supplier follow-up, and daily status updates to Supply Chain and Packaging Engineering


* Maintain packaging spec system master data, including part type code assignments, auto-approval reviews, mainframe updates, and Vehicle Off Road (VOR) status assignment


* Perform limited dealer claims administrative support as required



Required Skills & Qualifications


* Bachelors Degree


* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, filters, data analysis)


* Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy


* Ability to follow and execute defined, repeatable system processes


* Strong written and verbal communication skills


* Ability to manage daily transactional workload and meet deadlines



Preferred Skills & Experience
* Prior exposure to SAP, packaging spec systems, or ERP tools


* Experience in data analysis, reporting, or analyst-type roles


* Familiarity with supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environments


* Automotive or regulated industry experience


* Experience using Microsoft Access for tracking or reporting
