IT Manager
DISHER is currently partnering with a global, West Michigan company on their need for an IT Manager. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of their computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines as determined in conjunction with their global parent company. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of their company's computing needs, including the future implementation of SAP.
What you will get to do:
  • Help with training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
  • Along with the guidance from our global parent company, ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of the corporate network, servers, routers, hubs and switches.
  • Install, configure, and maintain the appropriate software and hardware on all systems, including servers, computers, laptops, tablets, barcode scanners, printers, operating systems, other software, and necessary peripheral devices.
  • Lead the internal help desk to provide IT support to our employees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Install, diagnose, and repair wired and wireless networks.
  • Work with the IT staff at our global parent companyto organize and schedule maintenance, upgrades and backups.
  • Maintain logs of repairs, upgrades, and maintenance timeframes.
  • Identify computer or network equipment deficiencies and communicate opportunities for improvement to Senior Management.
  • Reviews data collected by direct reports and identifies needs or trends. Adjusts activities and resources based on fluctuating internal and external customer requirements.
  • Management of phone systems.
  • Responsible for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all and maintaining the integrity and security of our network infrastructure as directed by the IT staff at our global parent company.

What will make you successful:
  • Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Expertise in data center management and data governance
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Experience with ERP conversions (SAP a plus)
  • Advance level in Microsoft tools (mainly Excel)
  • High ability to solve problems
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations
