Implement and review appropriate security guidelines / mechanisms. Develop and test database migration procedures. Troubleshoots application key selection, creation of appropriate indexes, and query needs. Perform database maintenance functions, move, rebuild, or change database objects as required in production. - 50%Proactively solves complex problems. Problem solve environmental differences and .net based applications. Translates user's needs into sound database design with tables,fields, and relationships documented. Assist in developing purge / archive criteria and procedures for historical application data on a relation model database environment. Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database(s). - 30%Develops database administration tools / utilities / operation procedures. Educates user and maintains database documentation. - 10%Establishes database procedures and standards; assists in database design.
