Senior Manager, Financial Systems Data Migration

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000/year

Empirical is seeking a Senior Manager to lead complex data conversion and migration efforts in support of a major financial systems modernization initiative. This role is ideal for a seasoned data migration expert with deep experience in financial or procurement systems who can design, execute, and oversee full‑lifecycle conversion activities. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, system readiness, and a seamless transition to the modernized environment

What You'll Do:

  • Lead end‑to‑end data conversion and migration for enterprise financial or procurement system implementations.
  • Conduct data mapping, gap analysis, and develop conversion specifications.
  • Design conversion components and establish conversion standards.
  • Develop and execute SQL‑based scripts for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Build and execute end‑to‑end conversion test plans; document results and resolve defects.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, SMEs, and program stakeholders to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Support mock conversions, production loads, and post‑migration stabilization.


What We're Looking For:

  • MA/MS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Prior experience performing data conversion and migration for financial or procurement systems
  • Strong knowledge of target system functionalities and data structures
  • Expertise in SQL, data mapping, validation, and reconciliation
  • Experience developing conversion test plans and documenting results
  • Ability to apply business and IT requirements within a federal or large‑scale enterprise environment
  • SAP experience, especially with SAP financials, data structures, or migration, preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation or security clearance
