At RTX, the world largest aerospace and defense company, 185,000 great minds are united by purpose and inspired to make a difference solving the world’s most complex problems. With our three market leading businesses, world-class operations and investments in research and development, we offer capabilities and opportunity no one else can. Together, we push the boundaries of known science and find new ways to connect and protect our world.

Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems and has been revolutionizing modern flight for over 100 years. Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.

What You Will Do

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Issue Containment to lead a dedicated cross-functional team responsible for maintaining airworthiness, flight safety, and system reliability across the global F135 fleet.

This role is ideal for leaders capable of influencing non-direct report personnel to collaborate on projects that identify weaknesses between explicit group responsibilities. It will best suit someone with a background in systems engineering, military engine programs, or complex aerospace sustainment environments who thrive in technical, highly collaborative, and safety-focused environments.

  • The Data Integrity Assurance Team serves as a core flight safety function — identifying, containing, and eliminating data integrity issues that could impact fleet readiness or airworthiness. Your work directly affects the safety of pilots, the reliability of the F135, and the confidence of the international warfighter community.

  • This is a strategic technical leadership role with high visibility to executive leadership, the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), government customers, and engineering functions across the Military Engines portfolio. You will be at the forefront of identifying and remediating erroneous data within Pratt and Whitney and Military Engine Customer data systems

  • Either you will come to the role with these skills or be mentored in them in day to day activities:

  • Cross-Functional Technical Leadership

  • Lead and integrate escape managers, incident investigators, and data monitoring/correction teams. Drive a cohesive, systems-level approach to data integrity issue identification, bounding, correction, and communication.

  • Root Cause & Fault Analysis

  • Oversee investigations of data integrity incidents, including evaluation of causal factors, fault-tree analysis, and determination of required corrective actions. Work closely with engineering, quality, logistics, and sustainment SMEs to validate technical findings.

  • Fleet-Level Systems Thinking

  • Direct population bounding assessments across the F135 fleet, applying systems engineering principles to evaluate read‑across implications and ensure issues are thoroughly contained.

  • Time‑Phased Corrective Action Planning

  • Develop prioritized, sustainable plans for monitoring and correcting data disconnects. Ensure actions are integrated across P&W systems, customer systems, and fleet management tools.

  • Data Quality and Product Safety Stewardship

  • Enforce robust controls on data integrity within the broader product safety and quality governance framework. Shepherd issues through full lifecycle correction processes across internal and external sustainment systems.

  • High‑Visibility Stakeholder Communication

  • Deliver clear, concise briefings to internal leadership, F135 program management, and JPO/government partners. Present issue status, metrics, dashboards, burndown charts, investigations, and containment plans.

  • Travel is up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 years of experience in engineering, project/program management, operations, or supply chain/logistics or an Advanced degree with 7 years of experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Human Factors, Business or Management

  • Experience within Pratt & Whitney Military Engines organizational structures

  • Experience with PowerBI, PowerAutomate, SharePoint

  • ERP/CMMS data analysis experience

  • AGILE project management experience
