Position Title: Data Management Analyst II

Job Summary

The Data Management Analyst II is responsible for analyzing, reviewing, and processing enterprise master data creation and change requests in accordance with customer requirements, Carpenter process capabilities, customer and industry specifications, and global data governance standards. This position maintains the quality, accuracy, and integrity of master data across SAO and PEP organizations while ensuring compliance with service level agreements, SOX, and ITAR requirements. The Data Management Analyst II utilizes SAP S/4 Hana and Fiori Governance Tools to create and maintain customer, vendor, material, grade, and service master data, supports operational excellence initiatives, collaborates with cross-functional business partners, and contributes to process improvements that support business operations and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze, review, and process enterprise master data creation and change requests in accordance with global governance standards and customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain Customer, Vendor, Material, Grade, and Service Master records using SAP S/4 Hana and Fiori Governance Tool applications.
  • Maintain the accuracy, quality, integrity, and effectiveness of enterprise master data.
  • Manage and process master data requests while coordinating activities with stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Understand and evaluate the impact of master data changes on Production, Planning, Finance, Purchasing, Quality, Commercial, EH&S, Marketing, Technical, and other business areas.
  • Adhere to global SAO and PEP processes, procedures, and service level agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, ITAR, and corporate data governance requirements.
  • Build effective working relationships across Carpenter businesses, including local data stewards and business partners.
  • Participate in daily problem-solving activities and support Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, investigations, and compliance reviews.
  • Perform data loads, data validations, and resolve defects or data integrity issues.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Additional Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of related experience required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Sales, Laboratory, Technical, or related business environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, SAP, and other enterprise systems.
  • Working knowledge of SAP master data management processes and data governance practices.
  • Strong understanding of customer, vendor, material, grade, and service master data structures.
  • Ability to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and compliance within a global business environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to establish productive relationships across multiple functional areas of the business.
  • Ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Experience participating on cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Ability to consistently perform in a fast-paced, demanding, and changing environment.
  • Expertise in one to four functional skill areas with a willingness to continue development in additional data management disciplines.
