Salary range (but not limited to):

128,300 - 156,800

Incentive plan

Annual bonus: 15% target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to 200% (subject to personal and company performance)

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We're looking for a Manager, Data Management & Architect to join our growing Technology team! In this role, you will lead BrokerLink's enterprise data architecture, data management practices, and data delivery foundation. You will combine strategic architecture leadership with hands-on management of data standards, governance, quality, integration, platform enablement, and team delivery. You will help ensure data is designed, governed, secured, integrated, and made available to support reliable reporting, analytics, operational decision-making, regulatory needs, and future business growth.


What You'll Do Here

  • Own BrokerLink's enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, design patterns, and reference models, ensuring scalable, secure, and business-aligned data solutions across the organization.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce enterprise data standards, controls, and governance practices that improve the accuracy, consistency, completeness, timeliness, and trustworthiness of enterprise data.
  • Lead, coach, and develop internal data professionals while providing direction to outsourced resource augmentation teams.
  • Translate business objectives, reporting needs, and operational requirements into scalable data architecture solutions.
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support analytics, integration, operational reporting, and data product development.
  • Guide the design of data platforms, data pipelines, data marts, warehouses, lakehouse patterns, metadata structures, and integration frameworks.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship responsibilities, data definitions, and governance processes.
  • Support audit, compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements by ensuring data is appropriately classified, protected, monitored, and traceable.
  • Manage vendor and partner performance to ensure outsourced teams deliver against expected quality, timelines, security standards, and business outcomes.
  • Partner with cloud, infrastructure, security, and business teams to design reliable, secure, scalable, resilient, observable, and cost-aware data solutions.
  • Oversee data integration patterns across source systems, SaaS platforms, cloud services, reporting tools, and downstream consumers.
  • Support modernization of data capabilities, including cloud data platforms, analytics enablement, automation, data cataloguing, and self-service reporting foundations.
  • Ensure production data solutions include appropriate monitoring, support models, documentation, access controls, and operational handoff.
  • Promote a culture of data accountability, transparency, reuse, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data modelling, data integration, data warehousing, data lakehouse patterns, metadata management, and data governance.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable data platforms, data pipelines, reporting foundations, and analytics-ready data structures.
  • Working knowledge of cloud data platforms, relational and non-relational databases, ETL/ELT practices, APIs, data security, access management, and privacy considerations.
  • Experience with modern data tools and platforms such as Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL Server, data cataloguing tools, or comparable technologies.
  • Ability to balance architecture principles with practical delivery constraints, operational support needs, and business timelines.
  • Proven experience leading data teams, technical workstreams, delivery partners, or cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Experience managing a mixed team model that includes internal employees and outsourced or augmented delivery resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes, standards, dashboards, operating models, controls, and governance routines that improve delivery maturity.
  • Strong prioritization, planning, stakeholder management, and issue resolution skills.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, enterprise technology, or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years of experience leading people, technical teams, delivery partners, or complex data initiatives.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to define data requirements, resolve data quality issues, and improve trust in reporting and analytics.
  • Experience establishing or improving data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, master data, or stewardship practices.
  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data transformation, cloud migration, platform modernization, acquisition integration, or reporting modernization initiatives (is an asset).
  • Certifications such as CDMP, DAMA, TOGAF, Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, project management, ITIL, or data governance certifications (is an asset).
