Job description

Role Summary

The Global Sales Management team at T. Rowe Price is looking for a dedicated Senior Product Owner to join them at our new Harbor Point HQ office in Baltimore. This role involves taking ownership of assigned products and developing product road maps. The Senior Product Owner will implement product strategies, gather and organize product and service requirements, and contribute to the prioritization of product road maps and delivery plans for adoption by business teams. Utilizing their business acumen, they will guide internal and external clients in optimizing the use of enablement platforms and tools. Insights from client interactions will be used to recommend improvements in processes, reports, and tools to enhance effectiveness. Additionally, the Senior Product Owner will lead the conceptualization and development of enhancements and advise business management on recommended priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Product Leadership: Oversee data product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Technology, Analytics, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement to gather requirements and support product rollouts.
  • Data Strategy & Innovation: Partner with Technology to address complex data challenges using advanced tools like AI and automation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Governance & Quality: Lead efforts in data governance, quality assurance, and master data management to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience) and 5+ years of experience working as a product owner for data programs
  • Data Management and Analytics experience supporting asset management data domains such as client services, distribution, sales and marketing
  • Experience working on as a product owner within complex data ecosystems. Experience with data governance, data quality, master data management concepts and tools
  • Exposure to concepts of Master Data Management platforms and Data Warehouse
  • High sense of urgency and follow through partnering effectively to execute on common goals.
  • Superb communication skills to explain the strategic importance of various data scenarios, driving common understanding and the development of a value proposition of the solution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to build the trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialog and interactions, and collaborate well with others internally and externally.
  • Ability to draw own conclusions, articulate positions, communicate key messages, make recommendations, and influence in a team.
  • Experience leading initiatives through to completion with the appropriate communications and release plans for large organizations.
  • Experience translating technical data concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product ownership at firms implementing Agile Methodology, preferably within data-centric projects.
  • 3+ years of experience with Wealth/Asset Management Industry, preferably in a Sales Distribution Function
  • Knowledge of various products such as Mutual Funds, ETFs, SMAs (Separately Managed Accounts),and Alternatives
  • Agile Product Owner and/or Data Management Certification

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
