Job description

The Product Management Senior Manager serves as a key product leader within the Finance Product Team, partnering closely with Finance stakeholders to deliver data, reporting, and analytics solutions that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making. Reporting to the Product Management Associate Director, this role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle for a defined set of Finance workstreams, translating complex business requirements into well-scoped, executable product plans. The Senior Manager brings strong product management discipline and Finance acumen to a fast-paced environment, and may lead or develop junior product team members. This role collaborates across Finance, Accounting, Engineering, and Data teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with firm strategy and the priorities of the CFO organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Execute the product roadmap for assigned Finance workstreams, translating product strategy into delivery plans, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for Finance initiatives, including discovery, requirements, development, testing, and deployment using iterative delivery practices.
  • Translate Finance and Accounting business requirements into well-defined, high-value product initiatives across planning, reporting, analytics, and operational workflows.
  • Serve as the primary product partner for Finance stakeholders, identifying opportunities, refining requirements, and aligning solutions to business needs.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog for assigned workstreams based on business value, stakeholder priorities, and technical feasibility.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data, Analytics, and the broader Data and AI organization to deliver scalable, accurate, and integrated reporting and analytics solutions, including AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Apply Finance, Accounting, and reporting expertise to guide product decisions, evaluate business impact, and promote sound data governance practices.
  • Define and monitor product goals, KPIs, and success metrics, proactively communicating progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Finance processes, product delivery practices, and documentation standards, and support their implementation in collaboration with the Product Management Associate Director.
  • Foster a product-first mindset by advancing disciplined, outcome-driven product management practices across Finance workstreams.
  • Communicate effectively across business and technical teams, translating complex concepts into actionable decisions and aligned execution.
  • May mentor and develop junior product team members, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth.

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in product management roles
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into executable product plans and deliver measurable outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience with agile delivery methodologies and modern product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience with Finance or Accounting systems, financial reporting platforms, or enterprise data tools
  • Experience working in or directly supporting a law firm Finance, Accounting, or Procurement function

The target salary range for this role is:
$148,200 - $211,150 if located in Illinois.
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
