About Anytime AI

At Anytime AI, we are building the Premier AI Legal Assistant for Plaintiff Lawyers, leveraging the most cutting-edge Generative AI technologies. We empower attorneys by automating essential workflows in personal injury cases, facilitating legal research, auto-drafting legal memos, and analyzing legal documents and medical records to expedite fact-finding. Our secure solution can responsibly help lawyers reduce up to 90% of manual efforts, enabling them to better serve their clients and positively impacting the lives of millions.

Position Overview

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the foundational systems that power our AI-driven legal tech platform. Your work will directly ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our services. You will design and optimize high-concurrency distributed systems, ensure that complex AI tasks and data flows run efficiently, and provide robust technical support for our full-stack engineers and AI researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain high-availability, high-concurrency, and low-latency distributed infrastructure to support the platform’s rapidly growing business needs.
  • Lead the in-depth analysis of microservices and web service architectures, tackle performance bottlenecks, and continuously optimize API response times and overall system throughput.
  • Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure 99.9%+ high availability for core services. Rapidly respond to and troubleshoot complex production incidents.
  • Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS/GCP), utilizing tools like Docker and Kubernetes for advanced service orchestration and scheduling.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate complex legal workflows into intuitive, responsive UI components.
  • Optimize data routing across complex systems, ensuring highly efficient and stable operation of relational databases, NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB), and caching/vector stores (such as Redis, Pinecone).
  • Uphold the highest standards of software quality and data security at the infrastructure level, implementing security best practices given the strict sensitivity of legal and medical data.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Core: Extensive experience in developing distributed systems, with the ability to independently design and implement complex, scalable backend architectures.
  • Core: Deep understanding of Web Service architecture, with exceptional skills in system tuning, performance bottleneck analysis, and resolution (e.g., handling high concurrency and massive data processing).
  • 3+ years of experience in backend development, infrastructure engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Proficiency in at least one major backend programming language (such as Python, Go, or Rust) with strong coding fundamentals.
  • Solid experience with various database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL/caching mechanisms (Redis, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the cloud-native ecosystem, including hands-on experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration tools (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC, e.g., Terraform).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at identifying issues and maintaining optimal performance under varying loads.

Preferred Skills

  • Major Plus: Hands-on experience participating in the architecture or backend service development of Agentic AI Systems.
  • Experience developing foundational support services for AI-driven products or open-source LLM projects.
  • Familiarity with information security compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA) and experience architecting systems for sensitive legal or healthcare data.
  • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.

This Might Be for You If...

  • You thrive on proactivity and have a “get things done” mindset.
  • You are eager to keep up with the latest industry trends and committed to continuous learning and innovation.
  • You possess a strong passion for building resilient, scalable infrastructure that enables cutting-edge AI products.
  • You excel in environments where projects and priorities may shift, showing your flexibility and problem-solving prowess.
  • You are an excellent communicator, capable of effectively collaborating with a dispersed team to drive platform reliability and performance.
  • You are keen on working in a collaborative environment where your work directly influences the direction of the company.
