Job description

Position OverviewOur focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices - every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors, and communities. As an Intern at C&S, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the wholesale grocery industry, contribute to meaningful projects, and better understand what goes into running one of the largest privately held companies in the US. You will have the opportunity to work alongside other interns and C&S employees to expand your network, participate in professional development opportunities, and enjoy some fun activities as well!Job Description
  • Compensation - $20-$21/hr.

  • Location: Windsor Locks, CT

  • Schedule: Hybrid

  • Full-time, 10-12 week Summer internship from June 2026 to August 2026

  • Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department.

  • Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documentation.

  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.

  • Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas and insights.

  • Aid in further enhancing department tools, templates and methodologies

  • Gain exposure and knowledge on department functionalities

  • Develop positive professional relationships across departments

  • Complete special projects as assigned by your manager

  • Complete an end-of-internship presentation to showcase the completion of learning objectives

  • Enhance Existing Reports: Review our current team dashboards and reports to find ways we can make them cleaner, faster, or easier to read. You'll help update standard workflows and identify opportunities for automation so our data stays accurate and up-to-date.

  • Support Employee Listening Surveys: Assist the team with processing and organizing data from our company-wide employee surveys. You'll help look for interesting trends, summarize text comments, and draft simple charts to show what employees are saying.

  • Assist with Internal Requests: Work with the team to answer questions and handle feedback from internal stakeholders who use our dashboards. You'll help troubleshoot minor issues and learn how to translate a business question into a data solution.

  • Gain hands-on experience and training with current technologies and tools, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and potentially Tableau and Alteryx.

  • Work with a variety of business partners including Operations, HRIS, and HRBP's

We're searching for interns that are:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree program from an accredited university

  • In good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or better

  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing at the time of the internship

  • Currently majoring in Data Analytics or Business Analytics or relevant fields.

  • Proficient with Google's suite of products preferred

  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal

  • Able to think outside of the box and solve problems

  • Able to work both with a team and be independently successfully

  • Able to stay organized and pay close attention to detail
