Job description


I. Job Summary
This experienced-level position supports the HR organization's reporting, analytics, and data optimization needs. The HR Data Intelligence and Optimization Analyst III transforms complex HR data into actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. Working with a high degree of independence, the analyst identifies workforce trends, evaluates business questions, and develops recommendations to improve HR programs and outcomes.

This role designs, develops, and maintains advanced reporting, dashboards, and analytical solutions using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python. The analyst enhances reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, timely, and meaningful workforce data.

Through advanced technical expertise and strong business acumen, the analyst serves as a subject matter resource for HR data and reporting practices while contributing to the team's ongoing innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement efforts.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Conduct complex analyses of HR and workforce data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights that support business and HR objectives. 
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python. 
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into analytical solutions, and deliver data-driven recommendations.
  • Develop and enhance automated reporting processes that improve efficiency, data accessibility, and reporting accuracy. 
  • Perform data validation, quality assurance, and troubleshooting activities to ensure the integrity and reliability of HR reporting and analytics.
  • Analyze workforce metrics and key performance indicators related to areas such as turnover, retention, employee movement, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness. 
  • Support cross-functional projects and initiatives by providing analytical expertise, reporting solutions, and decision-support insights. 
  • Document reporting processes, business rules, data definitions, and technical procedures to promote consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement, reporting optimization, and enhanced use of data and analytics across the HR function


III. Qualifications - Must live and work in the U.S.
A. Required Qualifications 
 

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in HR, Business Administration, Analytics, I/O Psychology, or similar area of study
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years or relevant experience
  • 5-8 years of analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data management, or a related analytical discipline, including experience translating business requirements into data-driven solutions (in addition to education requirements). 

B. Preferred Qualification

  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to derive actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and execution.
  • Adaptable and able to work effectively in a changing business environment. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. 
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and customer-focused support to business partners and stakeholders. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of data stewardship, data governance, and data quality principles. 
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business decision-making. 
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and HR data structures preferred. 
  • Knowledge of HR, workforce, or HR analytics concepts preferred. 
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar analytics and visualization tools preferred. 


Office: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
