DTS is looking for Data Architect (BI) for our client position based in Auburn Hills, MI

Job Description:

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Data Architect to design, develop, and implement enterprise data solutions supporting Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Management initiatives. This individual will be responsible for architecting scalable data solutions leveraging Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) and Master Data Management (MDM) technologies while partnering with business and IT teams to deliver robust reporting and analytics capabilities.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with enterprise data architecture, dimensional modeling, data integration, and BI platforms, along with strong communication skills and the ability to lead technical design efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect enterprise Business Intelligence and data management solutions.
  • Develop scalable data architectures supporting analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.
  • Design and implement Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data Mart, and Operational Data Store (ODS) solutions.
  • Create logical and physical data models using dimensional modeling techniques (Star, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Architect database solutions utilizing both OLAP and OLTP technologies.
  • Lead data architecture, data migration, and system integration efforts throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Participate in design sessions, proof of concepts, demonstrations, testing, and user training.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and architecture standards.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Enterprise Data Management initiatives.
  • Build metrics, dashboards, and analytical reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience architecting Business Intelligence and enterprise data solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience with:
    • Application Architecture
    • Enterprise Data Warehousing
    • Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Strong experience with data modeling and enterprise database design.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Technical Skills

Experience with one or more of the following BI platforms:

  • SAP BusinessObjects
  • QlikView
  • SAS
  • Oracle Hyperion Essbase

Experience with:

  • Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
  • Data Marts
  • Operational Data Stores (ODS)
  • IBM InfoSphere MDM or Informatica MDM
  • Data Migration & Data Integration
  • OLAP and OLTP database technologies
  • Dimensional Data Modeling (Star, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
