Job description

Reports to: Coatings Supervisor
Cooperates with: Welding, Fabrication, Substrate Assembly, Shipping
Schedule: M-F; 2:00PM - 10:30PM
Primary Responsibility: Applying wash coat to the catalyst substrate.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Apply Alumina wash coat to catalyst substrate
  • Ensure quality specifications meet compliance standards
  • Perform final quality check on each element
  • Package element in appropriate container
  • Prepare and analyze alumina 100 wash coat, bulk batch and dip tank.
  • Demonstrate proper selection/use PPE for coating department
  • Proper product staging, storage, and coating preparation for CO product
  • First and second wash coat dipping and data input
  • Understand and identify product quality specifications
  • Material handling and transporting of product • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
  • Prior manufacturing exposure, chemical handling experience, quality control and quality assurance, process blending and mixing experience, ability to operate forklift (preferred, but not required)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
  • Knowledge of safe workplace practices.
