Job description

Occupancy Specialist
The Housing Authority of Newport is currently accepting resumes for the position of Occupancy Specialist in its Section 8 Department. The individual will conduct group and individual sessions with clients regarding program rules; execute paperwork necessary for assistance; calculate tenant rents; document client files; perform data input; and assist with occupancy matters. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent math and communication skills are a must. Previous experience in housing or social service programs is a plus.
