AI Governance Specialist

$90,646 - $112,382 / year minimum starting pay

Job Level: Individual Contributor

Location: Columbia, Missouri (On-site, Full-time)

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. What You Will Be Doing
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of enterprise standards
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of processes
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of high‑risk AI assessments
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of compliance monitoring
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of responsible AI initiatives
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement cross‑functional governance efforts
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is typically required
  • Three to seven years of experience in AI governance, data governance, data analytics, quality assurance, or a related field is typically required
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, the AI development lifecycle, and governance, risk, and compliance principles
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, data quality, or data lineage programs
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
