Our Finance Technology team serves as the foundation for enterprise financial data governance and Oracle Fusion operations. We partner with Accounting, Finance, and IT leaders across Lifepoint Health to support chart of accounts governance, financial master data management, ERP transformation initiatives, and data-driven decision making. This role offers the opportunity to influence how financial data is structured, governed, and utilized across a complex healthcare organization.

How you'll contribute

A Manager who excels in this role:

  • Serve as the enterprise owner and subject matter expert for Finance Master Data within Oracle Fusion.

  • Manage and govern Finance master data structures, including Chart of Accounts, legal entities, facilities, departments, cost centers, natural accounts, and related financial hierarchies.

  • Partner with Finance leadership, Accounting, IT, and operational stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent financial data across the organization.

  • Lead governance activities related to new master data requests, changes, approvals, and ongoing maintenance.

  • Facilitate Finance Data Governance Committee meetings, presenting requests, conducting due diligence, and making recommendations regarding financial master data changes.

  • Maintain and support crosswalks and mapping tables between Oracle Fusion and upstream source systems, including patient accounting and other operational platforms.

  • Investigate and resolve integration failures, data discrepancies, and master data issues impacting financial reporting and operational processes.

  • Support Oracle Fusion Enterprise Data Management (EDM) initiatives, including chart of accounts design, hierarchy management, automation, and governance.

  • Analyze the downstream impact of master data decisions on financial statements, reporting structures, balance sheets, and profit-and-loss reporting.

  • Develop and enforce finance master data standards, governance policies, and data quality controls.

  • Partner with Finance teams to standardize and automate financial data structures and business processes.

  • Support ERP transformation initiatives, system integrations, and future-state finance operating models.

  • Collaborate with managed services partners to prioritize work, monitor performance, and ensure service delivery expectations are met.

  • Monitor data quality metrics and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization.

  • Maintain documentation related to finance data governance, business rules, integrations, and system configurations.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required. Additional qualifications include:

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Accounting, Finance Systems, Financial Reporting, ERP Administration, Master Data Management, or related disciplines.

  • Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, chart of accounts structures, and accounting processes.

  • Hands-on Oracle Fusion ERP experience, preferably supporting Finance modules.

  • Experience managing finance master data, including chart of accounts, entities, cost centers, departments, and financial hierarchies.

  • Understanding of how master data impacts financial reporting, balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and operational reporting.

  • Experience supporting financial integrations, data mappings, crosswalks, and data governance processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with Finance executives, controllers, CFOs, and senior stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Experience working in large, complex, multi-entity organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation.

  • Healthcare finance or healthcare accounting experience.

  • Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM) experience.

  • Oracle Cloud ERP implementation or transformation experience.

  • Shared services experience.

  • Experience working with managed services organizations.

  • Experience supporting multiple lines of business and complex organizational structures.
