Title: Senior Master Data Governance Analyst - Procure to Pay
Location: Hybrid - Onsite on Tuesdays and Thursdays - 1603 Orrington Ave, #2000, Evanston, IL 60201
Duration: Contract - 6 months with potential to extend, potential to convert next year
Summary:
• The Senior Master Data Governance Analyst will support the overall management and proficiency of mastered data across different domains.
• This role will facilitate master data activities to ensure data is accurate, complete, and follows data governance policies to support enterprise data governance program which enables the ability to make better and more informed decisions.
• This is a key role to ensure appropriate Data Governance and will work closely with both functional and technical leaders to further define, develop, and implement the data governance program.
Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities:
• Manage the review and analysis of maintenance requests including determination of corrective actions and ensuring proper data is reflecting in key system(s).
• Establish and manage the account issue resolution process with key stakeholders.
• Serve as the end-to-end master data expert from a data and business perspective.
• Support planned and ad-hoc data analysis efforts and issue resolution for master data topics.
• Partner with downstream key stakeholders to facilitate end-to-end master data updates.
• Support identified month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for in-scope domains.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive global data catalog and business glossary. Assist with the development and maintenance of global data standards, policies, and procedures.
• Lead process improvements regarding data flow and quality to improve data accuracy, viability, and value.
• Coordinate the development of recommendations for critical processes in collaboration with functional, operational, and technical partners to understand the impacts of changes within and across master data domains and impacts to downstream processes and transactions.
• Performs other duties as directed.
Professional Competencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel with knowledge of how to use VLOOKUP, SUMIF and pivot tables, at a minimum.
• Ability to work with technical and nontechnical staff and understanding key stakeholders’ data needs.
• Ability to influence and align various key stakeholders to a common set of standards.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities with deliverables completed on time and with high quality.
• Results oriented and effective as both a team member and independent worker with strong
• attention to detail.
• Excellent organization and communication skills including written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Responsive and able to prioritize tasks to complete deliverables by assigned due dates.
Experience and Education Requirements:
• University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other related discipline with a minimum of five years of directly related experience.
• Data Management experience within a mid-size to large organization or a corporation is preferred.
• Experience with and understanding of data management principles including development and maintenance of a business data glossary and the data quality rules.
• Workday experience is preferred, Workday supplier module expertise, expereince extracting data from Workday, loading data, building EIBs, etc.
