Job description

Position Summary
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager. The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics in an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of light and medium to large/heavy duty vehicles, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient fleet.
Compensation: $95,000 to $105,000/yr. based on experience plus additional annual bonus incentives
Schedule: Sunday -Wednesday 10am-8PM

What the Fleet Manager role looks like:
  • Manage daily fleet maintenance and repair operations, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Oversee a high volume of repair orders and prioritize workflow for maximum efficiency
  • Supervise shop operations and/or maintenance staff as applicable
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and documented
  • Manage parts and inventory, including ordering, tracking, and cost control
  • Review repair estimates, invoices, and warranty claims for accuracy
  • Coordinate with clients, dealerships, and vendor service providers to ensure quality work
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies
  • Analyze maintenance data and recommend improvements to operation

What our ideal candidate looks like:
  • Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 5 years of fleet management or shop management experience
    • Strong technical/mechanical background (hands-on experience preferred)
    • Proven history of managing high-volume repair orders
    • Demonstrated experience with inventory and parts management
    • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with fleet management software or CMMS systems
    • Knowledge of DOT compliance and safety standards

Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants.
  • Ability to move and position heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
