Job Summary:
JPMorganChase is a leading financial services firm dedicated to helping customers achieve their financial goals. The Data Science Vice President will set the analytics strategy for deposit portfolio growth, lead a team of data professionals, and collaborate with business leaders to drive innovative analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Own the end-to-end analytics strategy and operating rhythm for deposit portfolio growth analytics, including account opening and attrition drivers
• Partner with stakeholders to define business questions, success measures, and analytical approaches that inform strategic decisions and investment choices
• Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments, including consultation on experimental design and data collection approaches
• Build and enhance analytical solutions using SQL and modern statistical or machine learning techniques to deliver scalable insights
• Translate results into clear narratives and executive-ready materials, presenting findings to senior leaders, including the Chief Marketing Officer
• Drive innovation by identifying and delivering advanced analytics initiatives that improve measurement, targeting, and decision-making
• Mentor and develop junior data scientists through coaching, technical guidance, and feedback, serving as a subject matter expert in deposit growth dynamics
• Maintain a strong controls mindset to ensure accurate, timely, and well-governed analytical outputs
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's and Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (for example: Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or Finance)
• Five or more years of experience applying statistical methods to real-world business problems
• Five or more years of experience writing SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Five or more years of hands-on experience with at least one analytical tool (SAS, Python, or R)
• Experience building compelling data visualizations and communicating insights through clear, structured storytelling
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (for example: GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate analysis and code development
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience communicating effectively to partners and leaders across levels
• Proven ability to lead workstreams from problem framing through delivery, including prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and quality control
Preferred:
• Marketing analytics experience, especially in acquisition, onboarding, retention, or customer lifecycle analytics
• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, unstructured problems independently and turn them into practical analytical plans
• Strategic, business-outcome orientation with a track record of influencing decisions through data
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to partner effectively across functions and teams
• People leadership experience, including hiring, mentoring, and developing diverse talent in an inclusive environment
• Experience in tableau and python preferred
