Job description

Skylink Medical, Inc. is seeking (2) professionals to join our Lafayette, La based company. Prior medical office experience with data entry, scheduling or billing is a plus. However, with a solid work ethic, good communication and writing skills, and a passion for helping people, our team/family will work with you to earn not just a salary but also a rewarding career.

Scope of Duties

  • Compile and sort information according to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare data for EHR software entry (prior experience with Athena EHR a plus)
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any errors.
  • Keep all information confidential as per the companies HIPPA & security policies.
  • Respond to queries for information and be able to access relevant files.
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and proactively address any malfunctions.

Requirements

  • Be Punctual, Professional, and Pleasant
  • Familiarity with MS Office and other data programs
  • Experience with office equipment such as phone systems, fax machines etc.
  • Typing speed and accuracy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organization skills and change capable.
  • High school diploma, medical office assistant; additional computer training or certification a plus

Compensation-

This position offers an hourly pay and is a full time “at will” 1099 position for the first (6) six months with competitive wages based on the candidate’s skills and experience. After your (6) month evaluation is performed by the practice manager and company officer, you may choose to change to a W-2 employee.

References- This position will require either a letter of recommendation or a name and phone number for at least 3 references either before or after the initial interview.
