Job Description:

Young at Heart Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Entry Technician to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will ensure the fast, accurate, and efficient entry of medication orders to support our institutional and long-term care patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in required training
  • Review and follow all applicable policies and procedures
  • Input customer and prescription data into the computer system
  • Ensure accuracy: right patient, right facility, right payor, right physician, right drug, right strength, right quantity, right SIG
  • Work directly with customers and/or customer facilities to enter accurate information
  • Ensure new and refill orders are entered before cut-off deadline 
  • Document issues and suggestions using proper company policies and procedures
  • Complete other job-related tasks to support business operations when assigned on an as-needed basis

Requirements:

  • Active pharmacy technician license from the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy
  • Previous data entry experience in pharmacy industry, minimum of 1 year

Value-Added Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy retail experience 
  • Familiarity with Framework software 
  • Familiarity with DocuTrack software
