Job Description:

  • The ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion.

  • The individual will also help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable.

  • This individual will also utilize Phlebotomy skills to grown within the company.

  • The ENTRY PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure for the patients in a safe and accurate manner.

  • The ENTRY PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

  • The impact of this individual will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring that all patients are provided with the level of service that is expected.

  • Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.

  • Maintains required records and documentation.

  • Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general along with a willingness to learn new skills.

  • This is primarily a Lobby Greeter position to help patients check in at the kiosk and to help them feel more comfortable while waiting to be called back for their labs to be run - Will fill in for breaks and cover for staffing shortages

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet

  • Be willing to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered

  • To perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.

  • Customer service skills required

  • High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED

  • Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of client facing customer service REQUIRED (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc).

  • Some Phlebotomy experience is REQUIRED

  • Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

  • Shift/Time Zone: M-F (8a-2p)
