Job description

Overview

The FM Technical Specialist will assist the Gilbane FMS Technical Consultant on space/equipment data collection, formatting and preparation for upload into the Customer's Maintenance Management system.ย 

***Ability to travel required, approximately 60% of job locations will require travel***

Responsibilities
  • Perform field surveys of rooms and equipment in new and existing buildings.
  • Use of 360 cameras, Matterport cameras and iPad/cell phones in the data collection process.
  • Accessing equipment at various heights, using ladders and lifts as needed (training provided)
  • Adherence to all safety rules on job sites.
  • Formatting of data collected, using tools like MS Excel, MS Access, etc.
  • Using constructions drawings to locate/identify rooms/equipment on the job sites.
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • AAS in Architectural/Mechanical Design
  • Or equivalent experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions of Technical Consultants
  • Ability to travel, approximately 60% of job locations will require travel
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access and other data formatting/processing tools
  • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Visio
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks
  • Ability to read engineering/construction drawings
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety guidelines for construction sites

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

The pay ranges from $50,000.00-$60,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
