Job Title: Hourly Retail Associate – Back of House (BOH)
Location: Auburn, AL

Overview

We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to support our materials handling and distribution operations. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and moving materials throughout the facility, filling requisitions and work orders, and assembling customer orders for shipment. You'll work closely with production and shipping teams to ensure materials are accurately sorted, labeled, and tracked using basic computer systems. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with physical work, and able to keep pace in a fast-moving warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reads production schedules, orders, and requisitions to determine what items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Moves materials from receiving/production areas to storage or other designated locations
  • Organizes materials on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms by size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Fills requisitions and work orders, distributing materials/tools to production workers or the assembly line
  • Assembles customer orders from stock, palletizes/shelves them, and moves them to packing or shipping
  • Labels materials with identifying information
  • Tracks and records amounts of materials received or distributed
  • Weighs or counts items to ensure they meet company standards
  • Enters records using a computer

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not always required)
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution, or material handling role
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment (certification a plus)
  • Basic math skills for counting, weighing, and inventory tracking
  • Comfortable using computers/handheld scanners for data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, shipping documents, and production schedules
  • Attention to detail for accurate sorting, labeling, and order assembly
  • Physical ability to lift/move materials (commonly 25–50 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
