Greensboro Imaging is Triad's leader in outpatient imaging/radiology services. With two outpatient imaging locations and a flagship breast center, the organization offers a variety of radiology procedures. 

Job Description

The Sonographer provides quality care to patients undergoing Ultrasound procedures. Demonstrates full knowledge of Ultrasound procedures and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate the patient experience by greeting patients, explaining pre and post procedure instructions, and verifying patient's identity. Utilize AIDET Principles in all patient and provider encounters.
  2. Perform ultrasound exams using proper protocols and positioning techniques, transporting patients safely, verifying accuracy of orders and documenting patient information.
  3. Document the patient's exam through data entry, report retrieval, scanning and recording the exam details in the electronic medical record system.
  4. Conduct environmental and safety procedures including cleaning and sterilizing the exam room and equipment. Evaluate and maintain supply levels and practice safe patient maneuvers.
  5. Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through educational workshops, professional publications and societies.
Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree or Graduate of Radiology, Imaging or related educational program in Ultrasound Technology or Sonography

Experience: 3 to 5 years' experience ultrasound technologist

Knowledge: Consistently model AIDET principles, service excellence and service recovery. Consistently demonstrate commitment to safe practices while abiding by all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

Skills: Basic computer skills including Email and ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record System and PACS Systems. Use of Ultrasound equipment, disinfection unit and general office equipment.
