Job description

SCMI1 has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill a vacant Data Entry and Visit Support Team (VST) Lead role. The candidate will function in accordance with the equivalent responsibilities of an Engineering Technician IV to provide critical technical assistance to Navy Regional Maintenance Center Assessment Directors to include:

  • Building, operating, and maintaining a Discrepancy Documentation Tool (DDT) database
  • Maintain Report Writer applications or equivalent systems.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assessment Data Processing
  • Shipboard VST Lead for TSRA events
  • Pre-TSRA event preparation
  • TSRA event support
  • Post-TSRA event support
  • Integrated Class Maintenance Plan (ICMP) Support
Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET Security Clearance.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
  • Ability to build, operate, and maintain database administration tools such as MS Access to include SQL, or Power Query
  • Associate Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field
  • 5 to 7 years of shipboard HM&E experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with naval engineering key performance tracking metrics, technical writing, and system validation procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation pertaining to critical shipboard assessments
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Navy Board of Inspection and Survey procedures
  • MS Office suite proficiency required
  • Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communications
