Job Summary

This position will oversee shift operations of the Brewing department while providing mentorship and coaching to brewing operators. This role will also work closely with our Batching team to ensure capabilities across both departments are synchronized and team members are provided with development opportunities. The Brewing Supervisor will also manage their team through large process changes as City regularly onboards new products and customers. They will also work with their team to identify new opportunities for efficiency and standardization across the department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees operations to complete filtration and brewing schedule requirements
  • Ensures team follows all safety protocols and policies, including following GMPs and wearing appropriate PPE at all times
  • Troubleshoots production issues
  • Ensures quality and TTB compliance
  • Manages data entry of production records during their shift;
  • Conducts shift hand-off meetings with to ensure effective shift exchange
  • Analyzes and resolves challenges within the Brewhouse and assists team members with problem solving and troubleshooting as issues arise
  • Provides coaching to operators as needed to ensure safety and professional growth
  • Initiates personnel actions, such as performance evaluations and disciplinary measures
  • Assists with inventory management across the Brewhouse
  • Assists in internal auditing, such as for GMP, HACCP and Safety
  • Ensures compliance with Internal, Federal, State and local guidelines and regulations including GMP, HACCP, OSHA, FDA and TTB
  • Finds opportunities for increased efficiency and trains operators on new ways of working to do so
  • Leads team through new product implementations to ensure clarity and quality throughout the production cycle

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree and/or brewing studies preferred. Will consider high school diploma with combination of work experience to include technical brewing knowledge and frontline leadership
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a production facility; beverage/food production experience, preferred
  • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience successfully coaching and mentoring team members
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Excel
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including weekends, to maintain 24/7 production
