JOB SUMMARY

Logistics supervisor provides project management to continuous improvement initiatives; lean  E-Automate, principles, pull systems, information systems, inventory accuracy improvements, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

          Directs the activities of, and has responsibility for, subordinates in warehouse and shipping department

          Managing warehouse and transportation staff

          Responsible to maintain inventory within the financial guidelines and goals

          Manage and maintain driver payroll and Time Sheets

          Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and all departments

          Manage open Purchasing orders and Transferred Orders

          Works with purchasing for any needs and getting ETA

          Manages best warehouse practices

          Managing the description field and the message tab for e-automate system

          Managing Back Orders with ETA to DEX

          Performing cycle counts in E-Auto on a monthly basis

          Develop and retain key talent for department

          Adhere to all company safety and general policies

          Help with any other duties as requested or assigned

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

          Responsible for annual performance evaluations and discipline

          Reporting to the local Logistics Manager

          Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g. hiring/termination and/pay decisions, performance management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

         
Ability to organize, lead, motivate and care for all personnel involved in material operations

          High level of motivation, customer focus and a continuous improvement mentality

          Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization, vendors and customers

          Fork truck certification and experience

          Being able to work under pressure and working with the sales team

          Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs independently or greater weights via team lift or lift assist equipment.

          Great organizational and time management skills

          Being able to work in inclement weather conditions

          Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, to include Outlook and Excel

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

          Ability to complete basic math operations

          Ability to read and comprehend written procedures, write routine documents

          Ability to understand and execute multi-step oral and written instructions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Warehouse Experience/ERP Experience (Data Entry)
  • Worked in Multi department environment previously (knowledge and ability to communicate across Multiple Departments)
  • Or equivalent combination of education or experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

          Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.

          Travel requirements: Domestic: Up to 20%

          Ambient temperature warehouse or climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.  Must be able to work in inclement weather as needed.
