Summary:
Seeking an experienced Engineer to join a fast-growing IT firm working on cutting-edge technologies. The Engineer will be building reusable SaaS components to ingest various types of data into a cloud environment using ETL tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
3+ years' experience with implementation of large enterprise systems or distributed computing environment
7+ years in Java, C# is a plus but not required.
Proficiency in Java, Spring, JPA and Hibernate.
Proficiency in RDBMS including SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.
Proven track record of designing scalable, distributed software applications.
Proficiency in ETL development using tools such as Pentaho.
Experience in solving big-data problems using Open Source technologies such as Hadoop/HDFS and HBase on a cloud platform.
Responsibilities:
Take a product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation and support.
Implement all aspects of application design - high-performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, environment configuration, and testing.
Perform unit and system-level testing of applications.
Develop reusable loosely-coupled software components to deploy on cloud platforms.
Implement ETL processes utilizing Pentaho.
Implement business-layers as web service using Java, Spring Framework and JPA.
Develop presentation layers using JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS and HTML while utilizing MVC architecture.
Experience using COTS products to integrate systems at an enterprise level.
Familiarity in UI front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience in building business workflows using Business Process Management
Cloudera ecosystems Hive, Pig, Impala, HBase, Mahout, Spark
