Job description

Fincons US is seeking a Data Engineer to join our growing engineering team. We are looking for someone with strong Python and database experience who enjoys building scalable data pipelines, backend services, and enterprise data solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related software engineering roles
  • Strong hands-on Python experience for data pipelines, automation, and backend processing
  • Strong experience with MS SQL Server, including query optimization, stored procedures, and schema design
  • Experience with MongoDB and NoSQL database design
  • Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with Azure data technologies such as Azure Data Factory or Microsoft Fabric is preferred
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend services
  • Build and optimize SQL Server databases and database objects
  • Develop Python-based automation tools and APIs
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases to support application and reporting needs
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on data integrations and system performance
  • Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and scalability issues
  • Participate in code reviews and support best engineering practices

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering production data engineering solutions
