Description

SAIC is seeking an entry level Part time on-call Data Technician for upcoming work in various locations throughout the US. In this role you will support operational testing of various types of security equipment located in the nation's airports. Data collection tasks may include manual data collection using mobile handheld technologies, downloading data stored on security equipment, conducting operator interviews, timing of processes/procedures, evaluating vendor/contractor-provided training, and providing daily input of activities to site lead(s) in a timely manner. Duties may also include passing through security equipment to test equipment and/or procedures. Candidates can be located anywhere throughout the United States near a major airport to be considered for this position. This is an on call position for surge support. You must be able and willing to travel up to 3 months at a time as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma + 2 years relevant experience or Associates + 0.

  • Collects data under the supervision of a site lead, shift lead, or experienced data collector.

  • Reviews collected data to adjudicate any anomalies identified by the site lead/data analysis personnel.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required, as well as ability to work well with others in team.

  • Must be able to present oneself professionally in dress and demeanor.

  • Must maintain responsible, dependable behavior, as well as professional focus and awareness while working in potentially stressful environment that includes noise from alarms, machinery, and people/crowds and hard deadlines.

  • Ability and willingness to stand for long periods of time during an 8-hour shift.

  • 100% travel required; each trip duration may be 2 weeks to 3 months.

  • Must be able to fly on any size aircraft for travel assignments. In some instances, smaller aircraft may be used to access smaller regional airports.

  • Must be willing to travel to various locations throughout the US for the duration of the assignment.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Must be comfortable in tight spaces and having the ability to climb stairs and ladders and walk across catwalks as needed.

  • Ability to obtain DHS suitability.

  • Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Target salary range: Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
