Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support a community-based vaccination initiative. The RN will administer a variety of immunizations in a retail healthcare setting while delivering exceptional patient care and education. This is a patient-facing role that requires strong clinical skills, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer immunizations including, but not limited to:
- Influenza (Flu)
- COVID-19
- MMR
- Hepatitis A & B
- Tdap
- Shingles
- Pneumococcal
- HPV
- RSV (as applicable)
- Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients regarding vaccines, side effects, and aftercare instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow all infection prevention, safety, and vaccination protocols.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and support staff.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism.
- Adapt to changing workflows and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience, including immunization administration.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends.
- High School Diploma or GED (verification required).
- Must not appear on any federal exclusion lists.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail health, public health, outpatient clinics, or community vaccination programs.
- Experience administering multiple vaccine types.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Work Environment
- Retail/community healthcare setting.
- Direct patient interaction throughout the shift.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
- Onsite position.
